Clarence Schock Memorial Park at Governor Dick
This project involved design of a 315 LF ADA compliant timber boardwalk with overlooks rising over 16 ft in the air, ADA compliant sidewalks and parking, and installation of a Vaulted Restroom Facility.
Key Highlights
The park which sprawls over 1100 acres has over 14 miles of differing difficulty hiking, biking, and horse trails. To accommodate all park visitors and share the scenic vistas a unique solution was required. The boardwalk is a unique one of a kind elevated walkway which meanders through a mature forest while overlooking some of the most pristine boulder fields in the world. Additional Handicap parking and new sidewalks make a link to the ever-piquing Environmental Center which educates all generations about the importance of preservation and the native plants and animals.
