Transportation/Stormwater Engineer; Management Level – Full Time
Opportunity
We are seeking a Transportation/Stormwater Engineer; Management Level in our Mechanicsburg, PA office. In this position you will have the opportunity to manage all phases of project development from proposals to bid package preparation in collaboration with the Project Manager. Growth opportunities for progression into a senior project management role are available and encouraged. Work related travel will be limited to a few times a month and will generally be limited to within 4 hours of the office.

Responsibilities
Lead a team in Stormwater BMP Designs including Municipal/Agency code compliance, reference documentation, grading, drainage features, and 3D modeling utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3d and applicable regulations
Provide technical documents for preparation of agency (PA DEP, Army Corps, Conservation District) permits and submissions as related to Earth Disturbance, Municipal Stormwater, and Environmental Impacts in collaboration with the Project Manager and Permit Manager
Lead a team in preparation of project quantity computations, technical specifications, and construction ready/sealed plans
Perform project duties utilizing critical thinking with appropriate supervision while being mindful of the scope, schedule, and budget
Provide clear and concise direction to technicians and staff level engineers and mentor graduate engineers
Coordinate with subconsultants in collaboration with the Project Manager
Attend Client/Stakeholder and Agency meetings
Assist the Client during construction to provide clarity on design
Additional responsibilities may be assigned or changed based on Employee’s growth and feedback on career path
Experience/Skills
B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or similar) with at least 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in the design/plan presentation and sealing of transportation or land development related projects in PA
Professional Engineering License in PA – required
Software Experience - AutoCAD preferred, Hydrocadd or similar software experience, & PennDOT’s software – required
Skills - Experience with PA DEP’s Regulations, PA Code, PennDOT’s manuals and standard drawings, PA Municipal Codes, and AASHTO - required
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel – required
Knowledge and or Certification(s) in Wetland/Habitat Studies a plus
Exceptional time management, team management, communication, analytical, organizational skills, and the ability to perform critical thinking through logic and reasoning with others in a team environment
